About the Author

Born and raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington D. C., Debbie is a grandmother of six, retired elementary school teacher, and currently teaches adult life insurance classes on a part time basis. After three failed marriages, she began to seriously research and explore how, with her Christian beliefs that divorce is wrong, she ended up as a three time divorcee. Her Christian faith and friends sustained her on her journey of self discovery and recovery.

Debbie loves to travel and see new places and things as well as experience different cultures and foods. She currently resides in a small town 15 minutes from the beach, her “happy place”, and is thriving in a place of peace with herself, life, and God. There are plans in the works for future books. Her next project is a series of short stories about humorous situations that occur in a house full of ADHD people.

Love, Betrayal, Rebound
The Survivor’s Guide

Overcoming life’s hardships requires faith, resilience, and a lot of introspection – these are truths I’ve discovered on my life journey. My book, Love, Betrayal, Rebound, was born out of my experiences of overcoming unhealthy relationships that held me captive.

My memoir recounts my struggles through childhood and three failed marriages. The faith lessons of my childhood were learned and relearned as my faith faltered, was renewed, and grew through all my life lessons. Walking through the child rearing years as a mother of two ADHD children with little or no emotional support from their father led to further challenges.

It is my sincere wish that by sharing my personal struggles and poor choices, others will find illumination and hope. As I share my many trials and tribulations, I want every reader to find encouragement and see a beacon of light for their own futures. Included are resources you may find useful for your own journey.

I pray you find blessings for your life in the story.
